Pathwaves Partnership was founded to bring health outcomes to individuals, children, families, and communities by merging a healthcare foundation with a public health lens and lived experience focus. Each individual brings their own unique waves of life, which we value and use in our partnerships to build collective impact potential. Pathwaves Partnership brings the science, the evidence, the language, and the actions to individuals and organizations through education, workshops, presentations, consultations, and individualized partnerships. We help you answer the question, "what can I do?", when your reach may feel limited.

Together, we have the opportunity to change lives by providing education around the impact of lived experiences, access to positive experiences, building resilience, and improving the health and well-being of each individual, family, community, and society as a whole.

Contact Pathwaves Partnership to discuss opportunities for you, your organization, or your community.

Meet Hilary

Hilary started Pathwaves Partnership to combine her past professional experiences with her passion to make a difference in the health and well-being of children, families, and communities. Please read below to learn more about Hilary and her path to where she is today.

  • Hilary began her healthcare career in 2003 as a pediatric nurse at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital prior to relocating back home to Michigan in 2004. She worked at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital (HDVCH) as a nurse until completion of her Master’s of Nursing in 2008. She continued her time at HDVCH as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) until 2020 when her own personal life experiences broadened her perspectives of health promotion for children and families.

Hilary stepped away from clinical care to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Promotion, Education & Behavior with a focus on lived experiences and the impact they have on health and well-being. Hilary became a Certified HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences) Facilitator, Champion, & Faculty Trainer. Upon completion of her MPH, Hilary founded Pathwaves Partnership to merge her healthcare background with her public health lens and lived experience focus to bring health promotion efforts to individuals, families, communities, and organizations. Hilary advocates for equitable access to positive experiences in a multi-sector approach by facilitating professional development workshops, providing educational sessions, and presenting at a variety of professional conferences.

In addition to Pathwaves Partnership, Hilary serves as a Parent Leader on the Stop Child Abuse and Neglect Council (SCAN) of Ottawa County, volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children, participates in the Education & Training and Prevention workgroups for the Michigan ACEs Initiative, and will be returning to clinical care as a PNP in the Fall of 2024.
